The restaurant: located in the small town of Harlem, they have a cool, raw feel and serve everything from coffee and cake in the morning to steak and wine in the evenings.
The brief: they wanted something gritty and cool, matching their industrial interior design, preferably with a typical Dutch touch to it. During the research process I visited the location to get a better feel of the surrounding town which inspired a massive variation of designs.
The solution: Ultimately the customer like the versatility of a badge style logo paired with clean, hand-made illustrations. We also agreed that while the style might seem repetitive in a city like Amsterdam, in the country-side it would work to communicate the atmosphere that they wanted.
